Hey Warren, thanks for the "Award" ;) Agree our comments are more for those that are already users of Social Media not so much for those who have little experience with it.The catalyst for the thoughts was the 24 hour phenomenon. One client making a joke about how many "social media experts" there were and then being on a conference call with our facebook team and having them joke how funny it is to go to "social media experts" FB pages and often see few fans and last posts that were stale.

This gets my headline of the day award.. pandering to the popular idea that no one can be an expert at what was invented a scant few years ago.

But your list is NOT what I'd suggest to someone lost on where to get help. If you are not active in social media, you likely don't get it. I suggest you engage with someone outside of the online noise.

While all the indicators listed here are valid, it's still OK to get on the phone or meet the person you might want to do business with.

Most of all, remember that any relationship with a human is more about the people than any technology. I have very good friends that I know mostly on social media, but I'd never force a client or colleague to use any platform or technology. ESPECIALLY if they are seeking help with one they aren't yet comfortable with.

The way you write make it especially simple to read. And the theme you use, wow. It truly is a really good combination. And I am wondering what is the name of the design you use?
